Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is organized by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. A valid GATE score is an essential requirement for getting admission or financial assistance for the following from institutions supported by MHRD or other Government agencies.
Moreover, the GATE score is also mandatory to be eligible for the recruitment process in many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

The GATE application form 2021 is available on the official website. The official dates for the GATE 2021 exam is scheduled to start from February 5, 2021 and the last exam slot date is February 14, 2021. GATE applications are stipulated to begin from September 11, 2021 and the last date to submit the application is October 7, 2021, (the extended date). Candidates can fill the application form only in the online mode on the official website in the GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) Portal.
Subject Code: Among the 25 papers available in GATE, the candidate has to select one particular paper in the application form.After the registration process is completed, one confirmation message will be sent to the registered email id of the candidate. After the GATE 2021 registration, candidates can proceed to apply for GATE 2021. The GATE 2021 Application Form was made available on September 11, 2021, and the last date to submit the application form was September 30, 2021. Any late submission will incur an extra INR 500 and the date to do so will be October 12, 2021. The last date to make corrections or changes in the application including change of dates, category and centre was November 13, 2021.
